Across New York City and state legislative branches, intra-office succession planning is alive and well.

To the editor: (re: “City made a promise to our workers, and they must keep it,” Aug. 24) City retirees appreciate that Councilman Eric Dinowitz recognizes we were promised the choice of traditional Medicare and a Medigap plan when we retired, and that he agrees the city should not force us into an inferior Medicare Advantage plan.

To the editor: (re: “City made a promise to our workers, and they must keep it,” Aug. 24) I welcome Councilman Eric Dinowitz’s staunch opposition to the mayor’s and the municipal labor committee’s attempts to force New York City retirees to switch to a for-profit Medicare Advantage plan.
