The health of California’s salmon population is part of rebuilding a big link in the ecological chain that makes up California’s bountiful nature.
The plan released by Gov. Gavin Newsom lists six priorities and 71 actions to build healthier, stronger salmon populations.
"After these rains," said Ophelia Macdonald, a watershed aid at the Marin Municipal Water District fisheries department, "there's probably going to be a lot of fish by the end of the week."
