The Coralville City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to appoint Keith Jones, a retired banker and longtime city resident, to fill the vacant council seat. Jones was sworn in after the vote and took his seat at the council dais.
Six applicants were interviewed for the seat vacated by Jill Dodds. Jones won favor by promising not to seek election to the seat in 2023.
