PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in Florida's Panhandle are searching for the body of a 40-year-old woman whose roommate is already accused of her death. Investigators have expanded their search for Latonya Baxter throughout parts of Pensacola and into Alabama, Pensacola police Chief Eric Randall said Monday.
Jessica Bortle, 34, is charged with manslaughter in the death of her daughter, 14-year-old Jasmine Singletary.

The Pensacola City Council voted 7-0 Thursday evening to confirm Randall as chief.
