Never too late to write that novel

I can still quote the opening lines.
At 12 or 13 I read my first adult book, Gone with the Wind. I couldn’t put it down until when –  about 15 pages from the end – I realized it was not going to finish well. So I closed the book and imagined my own ending. Scarlet and Rhett ran into each other’s arms. I fixed everything!
Some feelings never leave you.
Thinking of Women’s Day and World Book Day, it struck me those two books, that fired my imagination and love of books so long ago, were both written by women, Anna Sewell and Margaret Mitchell.

Stephen's on the road to success...

He's been singing for many years, but it wasn't until Grangebellew man Stephen Callan sat behind the wheel of a bus that he performed for an audience of 80,000 people - well virtually!
Bus Driver Stephen has become an overnight sensation after the video of him singing 'Grace' was posted on the Bus Eireann social media, clocking up thousands of views in the first hour, and multiplying as it was sent around the globe.
'Ah I'm really enjoying the craic, and with everything that's going on, we all need a bit of positivity on our lives,' says Stephen, who only started working with the company three months ago. 'I started driving in November, and the lads were always asking me to give them a song, so one evening in the house, I posted one in our Whatsapp group, and sure someone sent it along to the Bus Eireann PR, and they jumped on it, and it just went wild!'
