The Tax sector acknowledges that promoting digital transformation will not only improve the quality of tax management, but will also provide numerous benefits to business households, enterprises, and individuals. As a result, the Tax sector continues to develop and deploy applications such as "Digital map of business households," "Digital map of mineral mines," and "Digital map of land prices and real estate transfer prices" to assist individuals and enterprises.
Local authorities have announced intentions to reinforce tax declarations and payments, as numerous e-commerce platforms have been found to provide inadequate tax information.
Previously, business household information was disclosed manually, was not visually displayed, and was not easily accessed and looked up. To improve the efficiency of disclosing business household information under the Law on Tax Administration, the General Department of Taxation (GDoT) has implemented the function of a "Business household digital map " as part of the process of promoting digital and electronic transformation in tax management.
As many as 30 big foreign suppliers, including Microsoft, Facebook, Netflix; Samsung; TikTok; and eBay made tax declaration via the portal http://Etaxvn.gdt.gov.vn and paid 22.2 million USD worth of tax, according to a report recently submitted by the Ministry of Finance to the National Assembly.
