For the first time ever, the Canadian Olympic Committee’s official talent search has come to the Forest City. On Saturday, local athletes were given the opportunity to showcase their athletic prowess to Olympic talent scouts in the hopes of making the podium.

Now in its eighth year, the program’s mission has been successfully realized with 13 RBC Training Ground athletes having competed in the Tokyo and Beijing Olympic Games.

Meeting their heroes was a dream come true for the competitors, aged 14 to 25, who hail from across the country.

Huntsville’s Owen McKay has been named a finalist in RBC Training Ground, the Canadian Olympic Committee’s annual cross-country talent search.
