A flood channel that overflowed causing massive property damage in Mountain View and Southcrest last month was scheduled to be cleaned out before the storm.

Twice this ridiculously wet winter several homes in northern Escondido along Vista Avenue have been damaged when flood waters overtook their homes.

Southcrest homeowner Greg Montoya said he plans to sue the city of San Diego for a second time over its handling of clearing storm drains and trashed alleys. The attorney on the case tells us the city has a month and a half to respond to the claims.
