SFA School of Music presents "Celleuphoria"

The School of Music at Stephen F. Austin State University will present “Celleuphoria” featuring Dr. Evgeni Raychev at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.<br/><br/>Raychev, cello instructor at SFA, will be joined on stage by colleagues Jennifer Dalmas, violin; Minhae Lee, piano; Melissa Nabb, viola; and Brad Mayer, percussion. Some of Raychev’s current and prospective cello students will also perform. The concert features compositions from the Baroque, Romantic and post-Romantic periods, as well as the 20th and 21st centuries.<br/><br/>Recital tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and youth. SFA Symphony Orchestra Concert

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – A performance of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 will highlight a concert presented by the Symphony Orchestra at Stephen F. Austin State University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.<br/><br/>Conducted by Dr. Gregory Grabowski, director of orchestral activities at SFA, the Symphony Orchestra will also perform Franz Schubert’s “Rosamunde Overture” and Camille Saint-Saëns <br/>“La Muse et le Poete,” which will feature faculty members Dr. Jennifer Dalmas, violin, and Dr. Evgeni Raychev, cello. <br/><br/>Concert tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and youth. SFA Symphony Orchestra Concert

The Symphony Orchestra at Stephen F. Austin State University will present Ludwig van Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and other noted orchestral compositions when the student ensemble performs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.

Conducted by Dr. Gregory Grabowski, director of orchestral activities at SFA, the orchestra will also perform Johannes Brahms’ “Academic Festival Overture” and Bedřich Smetana’s “The Moldau.” Guest artists performing with the students include music faculty members Jennifer Dalmas, violin; Evgeni Raychev, cello; and James Pitts, piano.
