Topcon Positioning Group said installation of its 3D Excavator System is now simplified due to new compatibility with factory-installed NGH sensors on Caterpillar Next Gen excavators. The new option allows users of Cat excavator to leverage Topcon 3D machine control functionality together with Cat Assist features. According to Topcon, users will experience simplified installation of the Topcon aftermarket system into Caterpillar’s existing 2D excavator systems, in coordination with Topcon and Caterpillar dealers.
