Jamaican vocalist Shanique Marie will release her debut album, ‘Gigi’s House’, next month. A member of Kingston’s Equiknoxx collective, Marie has established herself as a standout talent in the past couple of years thanks to a string of striking solo cuts, weaving dancehall, reggae and R&B with off-kilter flavours, and versatile collaborations with the likes of Finn, Flava D, Sharda and Fox & Swing Ting. She fully hits her stride across the eight tracks on ‘Gigi’s House’, balancing tender vocals with lush electronic production and crisp beats.
