Located in the picturesque strip mall on New Ballas Road, just south of Olive Boulevard, Zoya's Express Café features casual European dining highlighted by Mediterranean and Russian flavors. This little spot with indoor and courtyard seating is open for breakfast and lunch and features a menu of salads, gyros, sandwiches, crepes and soups. Zoya's features a chilled borscht soup ideal for enjoying in the warmer weather, and the café makes its own bread and baklava. Boccardi's Express Cafe is back after a year’s hiatus, however a return is not expected for its sister business, Boccardi Italian Imports. The grab-and-go eatery run by Maria Boccardi Andrews has begun service again in the atrium of the HSHS St. John’s Women and Children’s Clinic at 400 N. Ninth St. But Andrews said she has no plans to reopen the full-service restaurant at 3132 Cockrell Lane.
