I lived on what was then elmendorf air force base for most of the four years my father was stationed here. from the time i was 8 until i was 12. in fact, this is the first elementary school i attended at elmendorf. ask anyone here, they can tell you the life of a military family can be challenging, especially i suppose for kids. making new friends, saying good-bye to others. but i can tell you this was an amazing place to be a kid, from the occasional moose walking near the classroom to exploring the bluffs above the cook inlet. this brings great memories. at 12 i didn't really fully understan...
