Dear Mahatma: Running red lights is such a normal event in Northwest Arkansas. Why can't we have cameras to catch lawbreakers in the act and send them a ticket in the mail? -- Keith
Dear Mahatma: Once again I speak for Arkansans appalled and alarmed at the treacherous and dangerous portion of U.S. 70, six miles from Brinkley to Braswell. U.S. 70 is a major artery between Memphis and Little Rock for those who want to avoid congestion and trucks on Interstate 40. Deterioration, erosion and uneven lanes make it extremely hazardous! "Road construction" signs have been in place for months, possibly years, but there is no evidence of improvement. -- Dagmar Girl

Dear High Priest of Asphalt Distribution: Kudos to ArDot for smooth asphalt resurfacing of several lanes and exits and entrances on Interstate 430! Sure wish they'd do something similar to Interstate 630. It's a teeth-rattling ride endured by thousands daily. I know much work is dependent on the massive Interstate 30 project but this small section could sure stand some attention in the interim. -- Shaken-Up Joe
