The Polish government says was also the target of a Russian-backed hacking group that European and U.S. officials claim has carried out a series of cyberattacks against democratic institutions in Europe.
Russia is again accused of cyber attacks against Germany and Czechoslovakia. The group APT28, also known as Fancy Bear, is said to be behind the attacks.
A German government investigation, led by the Foreign Office, found that Russian hackers with state support targeted the Social Democratic Party in the governing coalition.

Germany and the Czech Republic on Friday blamed Russia for a series of recent cyberattacks, prompting the European Union to warn Moscow of consequences over its "malicious behaviour in cyberspace"."The malicious cyber campaign shows Russia's continuous pattern of irresponsible behaviour in cyberspace, by targeting democratic institutions, government entities and critical infrastructure providers across the European Union and beyond," EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell said.
