A moment in time gave South Bend-based singer-songwriter Caleb Fairchild the name for his solo musical project, In Attica.
“I went on a little adventure with a friend down to Attica, Indiana, of all places,” Fairchild says. “We essentially got lost. This was before we had smart phones and GPS and all those types of things. In the process of getting lost and trying to find our way out, we just had a great, great time.
It was just one of those — not to sound cliché — big self-discovery moments where you just get lost and have fun and make memories and laugh and have a story for the rest of your life. So when I decided to name the solo project, I concocted that name of In Attica, being kind of this moment trapped in time of self-discovery and fun and being carefree.” ....
