The notoriously brief 11th round of talks between the Union government and the protesting farmers’ unions ended without offering any solution to issue of the three farm laws and a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price.

New Delhi: The Centre on Wednesday withdrew its plea seeking an injunction against the proposed tractor rally on January 26 by farmers protesting against the contentious farms laws after the Supreme Court said “it is a police matter”.
The police has the “authority” to deal with the issue pertaining to the proposed tractor march in Delhi on the Republic Day, said a bench comprising Chief Justice S.A. Bobde and Justices A.S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian. ....
