A man was found dead inside an abandoned warehouse in West Humboldt Park after an hours long standoff with a police SWAT team, Chicago police said.
The man, who apparently took his own life inside the building in the 4100 block of West Chicago Avenue had been the subject of more than 40 calls for service since January 2022, a police department source told the Sun-Times.

A SWAT team was still on the scene in West Humboldt Park Friday evening after reports of a man armed with what appeared to be a flamethrower on top of a roof prompted a standoff since approximately 9 a.m.
