The Fauquier School Board approved several action items during its Monday work session, including the new K-8 science textbooks to be considered at the next School Board meeting, a new non-resident tuition rate and hiring an architecture firm for the Taylor Middle School Renovation and Expansion project.
Fauquier County students will still be required to wear masks at school until Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s executive order goes into effect at the beginning of next week.
Fauquier County Expands In-Person Learning
(Warrenton)- The Fauquier School Board has voted to expand in-person learning to four days a week. Superintendent David Jeck says there will be three-feet between each desk instead of the recommended six feet. Beginning on March 15th, Kindergarten through fifth-grade students will move to four-days a week, and secondary students will follow in April. Hybrid learning has been offered in the county since November. Families may still opt to keep their children at home.
