FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A coronavirus outbreak at Fluvannaâs Correctional Center for Women is lingering.
The Virginia Department of Corrections reports 146 active inmate cases and 11 staff cases. One inmate is now in the hospital.
The DOC spokesperson says the facility offered 295 inmates the vaccine last week. 213 inmates accepted it, which leaves hundreds more waiting for the shot.
