CROWLEY, La. — The Acadia Parish School System will remain closed on Thursday, February 18, 2021 due to continued challenges with winter weather conditions.
"We will continue to assess facilities, water systems across the parish, electrical power and road conditions during the day on Thursday. We'll announce a decision regarding operations for Friday on Thursday afternoon," a statement from the district reads. "Thank you for your continued cooperation as we work to make the best decisions for our students, families and staff."
Our Mother of Peace Elementary in Church Point also announced on Wednesday that it would remain closed Thursday, Feb. 17 and Friday, Feb. 18.
