JANESVILLE – The Rock County Board has taken measures to get resources to Evansville and surrounding townships that saw heavy damage from a Feb. 8 tornado.
There’s been nearly $2.5 million dollars in damage across Rock County according to Emergency Management Director Kevin Wernet.
The storms left a swath of destruction that included dead and missing cows, roofs blown off of homes, destroyed storage sheds and barns, trashed vehicles and shattered windows.
The first February tornado to touch down in Wisconsin in record history was preliminarily rated as an EF 2 tornado, according to survey crews from the National Weather Service Milwaukee.
