Denis Shearer, who was assaulted in Bangor, dies in hospital

BBC News Published A 25-year-old man who was assaulted in Bangor in February has died in hospital. Denis Shearer, who was from the County Down town, was attacked at a property on Fernmore Road at about 03:50 GMT on 28 February. He was found with serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he died on Tuesday. Timothy Walker, 39, of Abbey Ring in Holywood, County Down, has been charged with his murder. He is also charged with aggravated burglary. Police said a 38-year-old woman had also been charged in connection with Mr Shearer's death. Related Topics
