Gov. Kathy Hochul on Sunday insisted that the massive $355 million fraud fine slapped against Donald Trump won't scare away or hurt New York businesses -- because most local merchants abide by the law.
“Overall, Donald Trump rarely responded to the questions asked, and he frequently interjected long, irrelevant speeches on issues far beyond the scope of the trial,” Engoron wrote. “His refusal to answer the questions directly, or in some cases, at all, severely compromised his credibility.”
The former president also was barred from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation for three years.
