Keeping Boundary County Museum growing and moving forward is of prime consideration for the board of trustees, museum staff, and volunteers. This past year has been filled with events, partnerships, collection donations, and visitors to this museum.
"In the rhythm of the needles, there is music for the soul," says Katy Turbeville. "I am a firm believer that every skein -- project, piece, etc. -- has a story to tell in our lives."
Fans of knitting, crocheting, weaving, needle felting and everything in between came from far and wide to experience a fiber festival at the Frederick Fairgrounds on Saturday.
Sheep, goat and alpaca wool creations ranged from belts based on a 9th century Viking pattern to bars of felted soap.
