CALLS have been made for alternative online learning platforms after technical problems disrupted lessons for thousands of pupils last week. Dunfermline councillor James Calder was contacted by constituents who he said were filled with stress and anxiety as they couldn t get on with important school work when they logged on for the first day of home-based learning during the current lockdown. The Fife Liberal Dem said there needed to be alternatives to the current communication tool Microsoft Teams if there were going to be issues. Fife Council needs to take the time to look at other options so if there are problems there is back-up, Cllr Calder said. ....
