Federal Communications Commission took steps to close gaps in robocalling rules. Commission adopted Seventh Report and Order imposing requirement for voice service providers to respond to all traceback requests within 24 hours. Current rule only applies to gateway providers.

Downstream Voice Service Providers Must Block One Eye LLC Traffic
FCC Enforcement Bureau issued first Final Determination Order against gateway provider transmitting suspected illegal traffic. Any voice service provider immediately downstream from One Eye must block and cease accepting any traffic from One Eye by June 12, 2023.
