Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau-Douglas Yadaa.at Kalé cross-country team has chosen their top 14 harriers, seven girls and seven boys, to challenge for the Region V Championships at Ketchikan, Saturday, and extend their title streak to, respectively, eight in a row for girls - 41 of the past 44 region championships - and 32 in a row for boys - 45 of 48.
Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - Thunder Mountain senior Iayanah Brewer proved she is weather proof. In a state track and field championship meet that featured Southeast-like conditions, Brewer flew over the 100 meter hurdles distance in 16.02 seconds to win the ASAA Division I State Championship.
