Verizon added 194,000 FWA subs in Q1, handily beating analyst estimates. But wireline broadband growth is slowing. With DSL losses included, Verizon added 37,000 wireline broadband subs in Q1, down from a year-ago gain of 66,000.
Verizon's FWA subscriber result, which includes both business and residential customers, outpaced the growth of Fios Internet in Q4 2021.
Verizon says it has exceeded its year-end target of deploying 14,000 new mmWave cell sites, and has conducted field tests of C-band spectrum that delivered speeds in the range of 1.5 Gbit/s to 3 Gbit/s.

(VZ) reported a profit for the first-quarter that increased 25.4 percent from last year, reflecting growth in wireless service revenue, wireless equipment revenue and total Fios Internet net additions.
