The university is celebrating National First‑Gen Day on Wednesday, Nov. 8, by honoring the unique contributions and successes of its first‑gen students.
When the results from this year’s survey are released in the fall, units will be able to compare student responses to the same questions spanning three survey cycles dating back to 2019.
Nearly $800,000 in corporate and private support has been pledged in recent months to support diversity, equity, and inclusion training and study abroad opportunities as well as student recruitment, mentoring, and retention efforts.
After a two-year hiatus, First-Generation Abroad returned with first-generation students leaving for Seville, Spain and Rome.
