Through 70s was a Thriving Black Community known all over the world. It established black businesses. Black people werent allowed to leads outside the fillmore because of racism so we were a self sustaining community. The beautiful thing about the fillmore is that you had white, jewish, you had all people from all over the world coming to shop and spend their money in black businesses.
