Food drive to benefit local pantry 16 businesses collecting donations for Young Leaders community service project The Daily Jeffersonian Young Leaders of Guernsey County is holding food drive to collect canned goods and non-perishable food items for Feed My People. According to Director Mitch Howell, this is the first time the organization has sponsored a food drive, which began in mid-February will runs through March 31. Sixteen local businesses that have agreed to act as collection locations. People can simply walk in and drop off a donation, according to Howell. Boxes were provided to participating businesses by Cambridge Packing. According to Howell, one participating business has already amassed a very large donation.
