The Osun State House of Assembly has reverted the state's name from “State of Osun” introduced in 2012 by the former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, to “Osun State.” The State Assembly on Monday through a Bill tagged “Osun State Anthem, Crest and Flag Amendment Bill 2023,” reverted the State name, flag and crest of the state from what they were. After the Bill was passed for third reading at the plenary session, Mr Adewale Egbedun, the Assembly Speaker, said the Bill would be forwarded to the governor for assent.
