GODFREY Of all the roadmaps to a reliable, well-paying career, Lewis and Clark Community College’s Truck Driver Training program could be described as an expressway of sorts. Since it launched in Fall 2014, 86 percent of program graduates almost immediately landed a job in the industry, according to Program Coordinator Kent Ripperda. Of the remaining 14 percent, over half of those graduates went on to further their education in the field. The jobs waiting to be filled come with a good paycheck, too. ....
Late start courses available this spring at LCCC The Telegraph FacebookTwitterEmail GODFREY Lewis and Clark Community College is offering a slate of 12-week, late start courses that will give students a second chance at a full schedule beginning in February. All six are transfer-ready general education courses being offered either online or through Virtual Class Meetings, in which students meet in a virtual environment, like Zoom or Blackboard Collaborate, during scheduled class times. Online courses are asynchronous, with no scheduled class meetings. “Late start provides an excellent opportunity for students who still haven’t registered for spring to take a full array of general education courses at Lewis and Clark,” Interim Chief Academic Officer Jill Lane said. ....
