Hedge funds were broadly flat in Q1 2022, outperforming stocks in a tough start to the year after returning 10.4% in 2021
Investors allocated just over $10bn to hedge funds in January, marking a turnaround from the past two months, which witnessed the industry experiencing two consecutive months of outflows.
The HFM Fixed Income/Credit Index fell 0.3% in October, the worst return among With Intelligence’s range of HFM strategy indices last month. The result leaves the index at 5.3% YTD, around half that of the HFM Global Composite, at 10.2% YTD.
