A lifelong passion for fairs and community earned Oley resident Shirley Moyer the award at the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs' annual conference.
Shirley Moyer of Oley Township said she was very honored by the award since there are a total of 108 fairs across the state of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs recently recognized Shirley Moyer for her dedication and help with the Oley Valley Community Fair and the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
They came in by fork lifts, all vying for a number of prizes, including the top one for the largest pumpkin.
Justin Ott, a lifelong Oley Valley resident, is charged with making the funnel cake stand.
