Family Partners with Larimer County to Conserve 884-Acre Ranch
The Steputis family has owned The Little Ponderosa Ranch since 1987. During those 33 years, the family helped manage the nearby forest and also acquired additional, smaller parcels to stitch the ranch together. Recently, Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins have been working with private landowners to conserve land in the foothills region. In addition to the Steputis family generously donating their ranch, the acquisition was also a component of the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) 2020 Laramie Foothills Expansion Grant.
