The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, has ordered a special deployment in the air, land and water in Lagos State for Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in collaboration with sister security agencies. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Operations, Johnson Kokumo, who disclosed this on Thursday, said about 27,000 policemen were already in Lagos. The DIG, who addressed newsmen at the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, said all policemen serving in the state had been briefed on what was expected of them ahead of the elections.
