JAMMU/SRINAGAR, Jan 9: Two persons including a 29-year-old woman died of COVID-19 in Jammu region while 64 others tested positive for the virus including a female Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) posted in Traffic and 116 others recovered. After long time, active positive cases in Jammu fell below 1000.
The 34-year-old woman DySP Traffic posted in Jammu City and hailing from Paloura Top tested positive for the virus in Jammu today.
A 29-year-old woman from village Gandyal in Kathua district died of Coronavirus at Fortis Hospital Amritsar while 76-year-old man from Buta Nagar Paloura in Jammu district succumbed to the virus and ailments in ASCOMS Sidhra.

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Dec 12: Jammu and Kashmir today reported seven COVID-19 casualties and 419 positives cases while 430 infected persons recovered from the virus. The Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 26 new cases.
Four fatalities were reported in the Jammu region and all of them were women while three deaths occurred in the Valley.
Out of four deaths in Jammu region today, three were reported from Jammu district and one in Rajouri.
A 70-year-old woman from Sainik Colony, who was suffering from hypertension and Type2 Diabetes and was positive for COVID-19 died in Narayana Hospital Katra where she was admitted five days back. Another woman aged 79 and hailing from Bohri Talab Tillo, who had Azotemia, hypertension and Coronavirus, died in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
