LAKE BARRINGTON, IL A 20-year-old Palatine man is behind bars, accused of tying up a young woman inside a business and sexually assaulting her, police said.
Ryan Strom, of the 500 block of West Gilbert Road in Palatine, is charged with aggravated kidnapping, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery-strangulation, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and unlawful restraint in connection with the attack early Wednesday.
Meanwhile, authorities are crediting an observant acquaintance of Strom s for saving the woman, who has since been recovering at an area hospital, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff s Office. ....
