691 THOMASTON – Frederick (Fred) Arthur Batten passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Belliveau-Hastings) Batten. Fred and Joan were best friends for 68 years and married for the past 50. Fred was born in Waterbury on March 25, 1939, son of the late Arthur Batten and Bertha (Huff) Stevens. Fred was a graduate of Cheshire High School and a U.S. Navy veteran.
