'Midwestern Trees' exhibit by Greeley artist Betony Coons opens Friday at Tointon Gallery

The Tointon Art Gallery is opening an exhibit featuring work from Greeley artist Betony Coons at 9 a.m. Friday at 651 10th Ave. The “Midwestern Trees” exhibit features a series of tree forms and layered images that build meaning and tell stories inspired by Coons’ childhood growing up on an apple orchard in rural Kansas.

Terry Conrad co-founded MTPR (along with Phil Hess) in 1973. Among his countless contributions to public radio in the state, he brought Jazz to the airwaves and has been spinning it ever since.
