WOOSTER The community center will start to welcome back more of its clientele over the next month as limited programming returns. The Wooster Community Center reopened its fitness center and began offering tax aid services on Feb. 1. It will resume offering some of its fitness programming as well as allowing games of billiards, table tennis, and bingo on March 1. Congregate card and game groups will not be permitted at this time. The community lounge and public restrooms will not be open for use on a walk-in basis. Restroom use will be limited to patrons using the facility for programming....

WOOSTER — Officer Matt Cruise took a trip down memory lane Friday as family, friends and people he has met throughout his career stopped at Freedlander Park to wish him well and a happy retirement. Cruise's last working day was Friday though he officially will be retired as of Jan. 29. He dedicated 29 years of his 35-year law enforcement career to the Wooster Police Department. Ten-year-old Madison Hale and her mother, Jessica Williams, were among those who visited him in a drive-thru style celebration.
