Friday the 13th, which everyone is afraid of and shouldn't be, has unfortunately started to fill the crime sections of news from the early morning in Serbia. First, a mother jumped from a building with her child, and then the news arrived that a man and a woman had been found dead in Paracin, then, that a man had murdered a woman in Barajevo and set fire to the house.

While no one can exactly pin point where the superstition around the day and date started, there are several theories coming from the Christian religion that point towards the day being considered unlucky.

It happens every year, some years more than others—it’s Friday the 13th. For some, it’s just another Friday, but for others, the date just means bad news.
