THE Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) has delivered P1.1 billion worth of fuel subsidies to 190,130 public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators as of Nov. 9, 2023, as part of its continued support to the transport sector amid rising fuel prices.
(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants to shorten the trigger period of fuel subsidies to be trimmed down from three months to one month and for concerned government agencies to simplify their requirements to release aid to public utility vehicles (PUV) hardest hit by high fuel prices.
A TOTAL of 128,912 units of public utility vehicles nationwide have been included in the list of qualified beneficiaries of the fuel subsidy submitted by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to the Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank).
