Read biked the entire length of the East Coast Greenway, but not all at once. “I biked from the Canadian border to Key West,” Read said. “And because of my job, did it a week a year at a time with friends.” They didn’t originally plan to bike the whole 3,000 miles. “We met at the Canadian border and biked 350 miles to Portland, Maine,” he said. It was so much fun, he said, they decided to do it again the following year, starting in Portland and going to Hartford, Conn. “And, then it just became kind of a thing,” Read said.
