While Denver's contentious – and crowded – mayoral race will head to a runoff election in June, the at-large election won't. The top two vote-getters win the open seats whether they enjoy majority support or not.
The race's results, published at 8:30 p.m. by the Denver Clerk and Recorder's Office show O'Brien holding 61.6% support (48,413 votes) to Clarke's 38.4% (30,176 votes). The results are unofficial and will change as more ballots are counted. Neither candidate has yet declared victory or conceded the race.
