The second phase of the Interstate 70 Bridges project is officially underway. At 10:30 a.m. Monday, crews with Swank Construction set up barrels outside the Wheeling Tunnel heading east on I-70 that forces all traffic to exit onto W.Va. 2 south. The ramp onto I-70 from W.Va. 2 north also was closed. The closures will facilitate the total replacement of the Fulton Bridge’s eastbound lanes. The work is scheduled to last until November.
