SALINE COUNTY ARPA FUNDING TASK FORCE MEETS TO GO OVER FUNDING REQUESTS

Deficits in Vermont’s state retirement accounts are continuing to grow and a committee tasked with addressing the shortfall is continuing its discussion on possible solutions.

Earlier this year, legislators proposed employees work more years and receive less in their pension but outcry from those employees and their unions, bringing everyone to the drawing board.

The Pension Benefits, Design, and Funding Task Force is meeting on Monday and they want to hear from you. They're hoping public comment on the initial report will help them as they work toward a solution.
