US-based Influencer, Ashekun Petitions Nigerian Police Chief To Probe MFM Church Founder, Olukoya Over Alleged Intimidation Of Members, Others

A Nigerian social media influencer and YouTuber based in the United States, Mrs. Funke Ashekun has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to probe the allegations of sexual assault and restriction of religious freedom against the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Dr Daniel Olukoya. In a public petition addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President, Speaker, House of Representatives, Minister of Police Affairs, and Lagos State Governor, the blogger accused Olukoya of forcing his church members to stay against their will.

A Nigerian social media influencer and YouTuber based in the United States, Mrs. Funke Ashekun has petitioned the police in Maryland and Nevada to investigate Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry. She said the cleric’s activities should be investigated and decisive action should be taken to bring him to justice over his alleged misdeeds.   Ashekun alleged that Olukoya's actions go far beyond the realm of religious practice and into the realm of exploitation and abuse.

          The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry in Nevada, United States, on behalf of the General Overseer of the church, Daniel Olukoya, has instituted a $75,000 suit against a Nigerian social media influencer and YouTuber Mrs. Funke Ashekun over alleged defamatory postings and video contents.

A US-based Nigerian social media influencer and YouTuber Mrs. Funke Ashekun has cried out that Daniel Olukoya, the general overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry is allegedly after her life.   Ashekun, a former member of the church (headquarters) in Lagos made this known in a Baltimore County Circuit Court in the United States and also on her programme monitored by SaharaReporters called 'Moment of Truth' on Tuesday.

US Court Slams $50,000 Fine On Nigerian YouTuber, Funke Ashekun Over Alleged Defamation Of Mountain Of Fire Church

  A Baltimore County Circuit Court in the United States has awarded $50,000 in damages against a US-based Nigerian social media influencer, YouTuber and a former member of the church, Mrs. Funke Ashekun for defaming Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) had filed a lawsuit against a United States-based Nigerian social media influencer, YouTuber and a former member of the church, Mrs. Funke Ashekun over alleged defamatory programmes against the ministry and its General Overseer, Dr. D. K. Olukoya.
